Experience in web design & development
I’m Emma Jones, and I have over 20 years’ experience in web design & development (yes, I AM that old). Starting as an editor of the Napier University site in 1995, I moved into web development at Electrum Multimedia, a small IT company, in 2000.
Following an MSc in Multimedia Technology, I spent five years as a senior IT consultant with Vision Consulting. Here I specialised in interface design, usability and accessibility. Projects with them included managing the web design team responsible for setting up Internet Bank Intelligent Finance. I worked with numerous other clients on their web sites or software, including Stirling Council, Hibernian Bank, HBOS and Scottish Water.
Ten years ago, I moved to the Scottish Borders, and started working on a freelance basis. My key skills are:
- Web design & development
- WordPress content managed websites
- Social media management
- Search engine optimisation
- Usability testing
- Project management & consultancy
My passion is helping businesses manage and improve their online profile.
Over the last ten years, my clients have included:
